Customer story

Premium Taxi Service

An Australian taxi operator running three cities on BookTaxiService since March 2026.

Around 460 bookings a month, from the booking form on its own website through to the driver assignment and the payment behind it.

The starting point

How Most Australian Operators Still Take a Booking

The usual setup is a static enquiry form on the website. A customer fills it in, the office gets an email, someone writes back with availability and a price, and the customer replies again. Every exchange is a person typing, and the customer is waiting between each one.

The confirmed job then goes into whatever holds the diary, a Google Calendar, a spreadsheet, a paper book. Phone bookings get written in by hand alongside them. A driver is picked and sent the job by text, WhatsApp or Telegram, and from that point the office has no view of what the driver is doing.

Payment is the last manual step. Cash in the car, or an invoice sent afterwards and chased later.

Nothing in that chain is broken on its own. It fails at the joins: a time typed into a calendar differently from how it was quoted, a job sent to a driver who never confirms, a booking that exists in a message thread and nowhere else, a fare that is agreed in one place and collected in another.

Premium Taxi Service ran that way until March 2026.

The operation

Three Cities, Around the Clock

Premium Taxi Service operates in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The work is airport transfers, corporate travel, tours and weddings.

Premium Taxi Service chooses to operate on fixed fares. Every fare is quoted before the booking is made.

What changed

What Running on BookTaxiService Changes

The booking form is no longer a message that starts a conversation. The fare is worked out from the operator’s own configured rates and shown before the customer confirms, so there is no quote to write back.

The booking is a record rather than a diary entry, and it is the same record the office assigns a driver and vehicle against, the driver works from, and the invoice is raised on. Phone bookings go into the same place.

The driver works the job through the driver portal, so arrival, passenger on board and completion are visible to the office instead of being a text message that may or may not arrive.

Card payment runs on the operator’s own Stripe account against that same booking, so the fare does not have to be collected in the car or chased afterwards.

The workflow

How a Booking Moves

  1. The customer books

The booking form is embedded in premiumtaxiservice.com.au as an iframe, and reachable directly at booktaxiservice.au/pts. Both carry the operator’s own name and colours.

  2. The fare is quoted

The fare comes from the operator’s configured rates, scoped by pricing zone and vehicle type, and is shown before the booking is confirmed.

  3. The office allocates the job

The booking lands in the admin workspace, where a driver and a vehicle are assigned to it.

  4. The driver runs the job

Drivers work from the driver portal, moving the job through arrival, passenger on board and completion.

  5. Payment and invoicing

Card payments are charged on Premium Taxi Service’s own Stripe credentials, so the fare goes to the operator rather than through a platform account. Invoices can be raised against the same booking.
